Our mission at Reef Renewal Foundation International is to increase coral coverage and biodiversity worldwide by building a global network of reef restoration projects.
Reef Renewal’s Network Members are projects that are locally led and owned, benefitting from a deep understanding of the local context and the latest practical restoration techniques shared across the network.
Our current network members have projects located in Australia, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Curaçao, St Vincent and the Grenadines and the Florida Keys, USA. Our focus is on fostering partnerships within our network to realize our shared goals. We have built a community between our network members to allow for the sharing of best practices and the development of new, innovative restoration techniques.
To build a global network of projects that are:
- Increasing coral coverage and biodiversity in significant ways.
- Using restoration approaches that have co-benefits for local populations.
- Increasing local site stewardship and site ownership.
We work to deliver measurable and practical results, built on local leadership and expertise. We believe in working together to realize the change we want to see for coral reefs by being transparent and accountable.
